Justice the Weathervane

No building that shelters over 42 horses would seem complete without an old-fashioned weathervane featuring the image of a trotting carousel horse. So Bob Thrush began to create one, hammering the aluminum carousel horse that spins in the breeze atop the roof of Salem's Riverfront Carousel. His design was inspired by a carousel horse featured prominently in the project's logo. Two side of the horse were sculpted, then welded together with a center section and completed with a powdered finish. Before visitors even reach the carousel, their first hint of things to come rides with the image of a horse dancing in the wind.
